I am still in Varna, Bulgaria... I initally planned to spend 1 day here, but this place is like quicksand and I am stuck here. The beach weather is incredible and the nightlife pretty damn good everynight of the week. Today spent another 5hrs at the beach, hanging with the cool cats from the Hostel. Sat around at this awesome bar/lounge with a pool called the A-Lounge, seriously in Miami or Vegas this would be the type of place you need an invite or know someone to get in. Here you just walk in, its located right on the beach, and most of the women decide to go topless. In Las Vegas, I know there is only one topless pool at Mandalay Bay and they charge you i think 30 bucks to get in. Here me and 3 other guys, had a few drinks, an apptizer each and the bill was 38 Lv, which is about 24 bucks for a few hours. We have been spending most days and nights at least for a bit at the A-Lounge. Americans dont know about Varna, and it is hard to get to here, with no direct flights from the states and you probably have to change in London or Germany, and with summer prices of flights high, this is not a weekend short trip like a Miami would be, this is more of a come here for a month and just totally chill out and relax sort of place.
Am trying to get out of here, most likely now will travel on Saturday on a long journey broken up over a day to get to Belgrade, Serbia, which I hear is an awesome party city and one with alot of history, as it has been taken over and burnt, bombed and rebuilt some 40 times in its 1000+ year history.. Ok considering I sleep till noon, beach till 5pm, nap to 9pm and then go out till 4am, not really much else to write about... Oh as for eating the McDonalds, its tough call for sure, as I never touch the stuff back home, but sometimes for just knowing what you want, KFC and McD's is the safe bet, not saying the Bulgarian food is horrible, but I have yet to find a true bulgarian food experience, so i'll stick with Pizza and other stuff..
